Welcome to the K-5 Classroom! Our class is a place where giggles happen often, mistakes are just learning opportunities, and kids become more independent and confident everyday. Kindergarten is such an exciting grade! I am so passionate about teaching and I love making our classroom a warm and inviting place. Bright colors, plenty of cozy places, and a strong sense of class community are essential to making our room feel like home. We are incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful playground as well as a technologically advanced classroom. The kinder yard also has a garden that we use to grow fruits and vegetables in the spring.
Classroom Management: The Dojo
I use ClassDojo as a tool to keep students motivated and be in constant contact with parents. Students earn points for their positive behavior and actions in class. Some examples of points that can be earned are "Following Directions", "Reading Rockstar", and "Working Together". It is also a way for me to keep in constant connection with parents. We can instantly share messages, updates and you will get to see pictures taken during our class time! It is an easy and fun way to stay in contact and be included in your child's class.
